Sydney Bull's Electronic Portfolio

My future plans are to graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in PRT-Community Recreation and Sports Management. I have been interning with Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation since August and will continue to work with them until I find a more permanent position.

At the University of Utah, I studied Community Recreation and Sports Management, and I believe that the course load I endured will truly prepare me for a steady career in the sports industry. In the past I have done assignments such as a marketing research plan, a business plan, and recreation programming. Being able to participate in these hands-on projects really inspired me and assured me that I was in the right major and I was pursuing a career that I love.

Not only did the University of Utah prepare me for my future, but I was blessed with very supportive parents who encouraged me to have as much work experience in my life as possible. So throughout my 25-years of living I have had multiple jobs and responsibilities. For example, I have been a lifeguard, swim instructor, and pool manager since I was 16-years old. Working around a pool for that long helped me develop some really awesome skills that will benefit me in the long run. As I continue to work and learn new things I can store all the aspects of my current jobs such as the aspects I like and the aspects I don't like when it comes to aquatics management.

After graduation I plan to obtain my Certified Pool Operators License as well as my Aquatics Facility Operators License, hopefully pursuing these certifications immediately after graduation will help me stand out in the hiring process and make me a more appealing candidate.
